1st Version Dan
Dan first appeared in Canada in the 'Mod years'. He has flocked hair (may be related to copying the flocked US GI Joe heads) and came in the "in mod colors boxes". This Dan version has a pale blue body with open hands and were usually sold with black and silver accessories but sometimes with bronze and silver accessories.
Flocked Dan was then given closed hands and solde in the yellow square bilingual box for a short period. Both pale blue Dans have the regular shoulder spring. Notice the change of the title font between the Yellow Square and the In New Mod Colours boxes..

2nd Box Version Dan
The next versions of Dan hit the shelves in a redesigned bilingual box often referred to as the "Yellow Square" box because of the large yellow overprinted area with the French wording.

Yellow Square box: "101 Positions mobiles! 20 pieces d'equipment de cowboy changeable! Plus de 11" Equipe pour la prairie et la piste!" [Babel Fish translation: 101 mobile Positions! 20 parts of equipment of changeable cowboy! More than 11" Team for the meadow and the track!]

Notice the change of the title font between the Yellow Square and the In New Mod Colours boxes..
